MARANG RIVER MOUTH IMPROVEMENT WORKS
The Project is called essentially to solve the recurrent problems by addressing issues such as adequate draught for navigation at river mouth during all tidal conditions, fixed navigation channel for boats plying the river mouth and calm waters for boats in harbours.

• A Light beacon
• Beach nourishment
• A pair of internal jetties with two sand bunds
• Sedimentation reservoirs in the outer harbour
• A pair of rubble mound breakwaters, 1.3km in total length
• Reclamation of land with rock revetment in the inner harbour
• Navigation channel (900m long) for fishing boats and tourist launches
