UPGRADING OF SG. LINGGI WATER TREATMENT PLANT

The project comprises the upgrading of the existing 75MLD (16.5MGD) water treatment plant to 144MLD (31.5MGD). Due to acute water shortage, the existing plant was operated 24 hours a day at 100 MLD (33% overload). Most equipment are old and space for plant extension was limited. This plant is the sole source of supply for Port Dickson, a very important tourist destination.

KULIM DISTRICT WATER SUPPLY PHASE II

The project is planned to augment the supply of potable water to meet the projected water demand of 200 MLD of the whole District of Kulim in particular the High Technological Industrial Park of Kulim up to year 2010. The scheme abstracts raw water from Muda River at Pinang Tunggal. 150 MLD of water is treated and pumped through 24km of 1,300mm diameter steel mains to 32 ML Concrete Balancing Reservoir at Bukit Jelutong adjacent to the Kulim High Technological Park. From the 32 ML balancing reservoir, potable water is transmitted via a distribution system to supply the Industrial Areas and the whole District of Kulim.

PEMBINAAN LOJI RAWATAN AIR POKOK SENA, KEDAH DARUL AMAN
